I realized, this morning after talking with someone, that I don't really have a welcome or introduction post where people can comment and ask to friend me or just talk to me in general. So I am now creating one... Kind of... lol.

Hello to all of my readers and visitors. Here you will find the archives of my writings, both fanfiction and a few original pieces. I love all of my comments and don't mind any bit of constructive criticism if you don't like or don't understand something. Please feel free to speak your mind as long as you are respectful of the fact that I have my own opinions and ideas as well. Anything that I post on here that you can read I fully expect people to comment on so if you can read it then don't worry about feeling bad about commenting on it!

You can find my masterlist of fiction here. Feel free to browse and explore, read and comment until your heart is content.

I'm also on Twitter with mostly nonsensical things.... feel free to follow me!

I post fanfiction news and snippets, along with a lot of randomness on my Tumblr. Jump over there if you would like to keep up to date on that and feel free to follow!

I also hang on on AIM most days and I'm more then willing to chat with anyone who wants to drop me a line at just about anything. I'm karinachildoG@aol.com if you would like to message me.

I'm not certain what else to say in this, lol. If you have any comments, questions, or strange noises to make feel free to shoot me a comment or a message. I'm friendly and I don't bite, most days. ^_^

Feel free to comment here with any

AN: Really muses you can't just write a simple drabble without adding in all these subtle points? Come on!

Wow... JYP you have done it again. I am so very impressed with 2PM's new single. If I was basing it on sound alone, I love it for just that. There isn't a song on it that I don't like. But more then that I love the message of the songs. Just the songs themselves have a positive keep going message to them, but add to them the events that have happened recently in 2PM's past, makes me love them even more.

Don't Stop, Can't Stop (which is also the name of their album) has a powerful message. The song is about people trying to push someone down and that person declaring that they will not and cannot not give up. That they will keep pushing forward. To me this is 2PM direct statement to those supposed "hottest" fans that have been doing so much to hurt them and saying that they will fail.

Then they certainly impressed me with their track Without U. The song is about someone who has left and abandon all of the love that there was, but that the singer of the song will be ok without that person there. This is a powerful track and to me it shows exactly how 2PM had to have been feeling with their leader leaving them. Some of the lyrics just strike me as something that they had to have felt at the time as I can only imagine the confusion and anger they had to feel. Like:
"Why did you do this to me, why?
Why did you do this to me, make me cry
Was it worth it to throw away everything we had
Was it really worth it
The time we spent together
And the time we could have spent together
Don't you regret it, doesn't it matter to you
Right now you--Are you OK without me?"

And then the video. Talk about symbolic. I'm going to pull out my literary minor self for the next few minutes and give you my take on the meaning of the video, you have all been warned. So the video is set in a dark and somewhat destroyed area. Everything in is ruins around the six boys, symbolizing the chaos and pure darkness that has been surrounding the boys for the past little while. Yet there is light. In the first few opening scenes each of the boys are bathed in light. This isn't just for the "oh the camera has to be able to see them" effect. They are purposefully illuminated in sharp contrast to the darkness and chaos.

Now the rain falling through the whole thing. Simple fangirl moment says that good looking boys in sleeveless shirts is good, but good looking boys in sleeveless shirts while being soaked with water, even better. Beyond the simple yum factor, water is one of the first symbols that any student learns if they are studying symbolism. It means rebirth or a re-newness of life or of being. I think that is a fairly fitting message for them at this time since this is pretty much their for sure continuation as six. However the muddy water scenes can't be ignored. I feel that they are there to show that they are not starting fresh. There is all this muck, mud, sweat, blood, and tears that they will have to fight through. It isn't like they are starting over as a new group, they are pushing forward as a group minus one person that they will never forget and that means they have a lot of much to wade through (I'm thinking primarily of some of their fans who are now against them as six).

I could go into a lot more but I think I will just stop there. I cannot wait to see them perform on a music show so that we will be able to see the full dance. I am secretly hoping they will perform with a wet stage so they can be soaking wet while doing it...

For anyone who is curious and wants to hear the songs and see the translations, I found them here.
